PROMOTING EMPLOYER TO EMPLOYEE–ENGAGE TO EDUCATE, E2E

It is important we tell our story. That is why we have produced Coffee Conversations with Kelly. These videos discuss national, state, and/or local issues that impact your business and the lives of your employees. Chamber members will receive a link which will direct them to a flyer that can be shared with employees, friends, and family.  Go to our News page for the E2E blog entries!

BUSINESS DIRECTORY AND WEBSITE LISTING

Included in your membership investment is an alphabetical and categorical listing for your business/organization in the Longview Chamber of Commerce Business Directory.

REFERRALS

Members receive priority referrals when calls are received regarding Longview. Additionally, members can supply the Chamber with flyers, brochures and business card to be included in relocation and visitor packets we distribute to people looking to move to or visit the Longview area.

COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

Promote networking by sponsoring monthly Business After Hours Mixers at your business. The mixers are an excellent opportunity to meet other Chamber members and to learn about their businesses. Other special events such as the Business Solutions Conference and Business2Business Luncheons also provide great opportunities for members to network with other business professionals.

REPRESENTING BUSINESS TO GOVERNMENT

The Longview Chamber of Commerce represents business concerns to local, regional, state and federal entities. Action Alerts and other legislative information is available on the Chamber’s website and is sent to members via e-mail throughout the year.

Leadership Longview is a 9-month program that provides participants the opportunity to better understand our community by meeting with and learning from today’s community leaders. Applications are available the first of June for the class that begins in mid-August. Covering one topic a month, which includes Education, Community & Economic Development, Health & Emergency Services, Quality of Life, Criminal Justice, and Leadership Development, the class celebrates their educational experience and newly developed friendships with a graduation in May. Click here for more info on Leadership Longview.

Graduates of Leadership Longview strive to have their members remain engaged in the program and the community.  Special events are held throughout the year specifically designed as social events and there are also tours arranged at points of interest in the community.

Among the Alumni Program offerings are:

  • Connecting Opportunities
  • Leadership Training Alumni
