BUSINESS COMMITTEES

COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT
Membership in the Longview Chamber of Commerce provides you with an opportunity to get involved, if you so choose. Members are invited to join a committee and add their voice to an area of their interest. Your level of involvement is completely up to you; the more you are involved, the greater the benefits.

Committees/Task Forces:

Ambassadors (host ribbon cuttings, helps with special events, Business After Hours, assists in retention calls)
Business Advocacy (develops public policy statements for the organization, host membership forums on key issues, hosts elected officials reception, coordinates legislative trips to Austin and DC)
Business Development (coordinates Business Expo)
Downtown Development/Main Street (produces community festival AlleyFest, hosts Brown Bag Luncheon Concert Series in the fall and spring, hosts Movies in the Plaza, and produces the Downtown Market)
Leadership Longview - coordinates curriculum of program as well as marketing efforts and alumni program
ParBusters Golf Tournament (coordinates the fall membership golf tournament)
Salute to Healthcare - Annual event recognizes outstanding member businesses and volutneers in the healthcare field
East Texas Outdoor EXPO (produces outdoor expo in January)
Women’s Leadership Series (meets 4-6 times a year for training and networking)
Business Development Series (coordinates learning opportunities to assist businesses grow and prosper)
