Urban development and redevelopment of the downtown area continues to be an important goal for the Partnership.  Successful strategies have enhanced the economic environment of the downtown business district. These strategies include marketing downtown Longview to potential new and expanding businesses, the development of new marketing materials to promote downtown as a leisure destination area, working in concert with TxDot and the City of Longview on downtown destination signage, supporting 100 Acres of Heritage, hosting the annual Christmas Parade and the identification and implementation of an aggressive “Discover Downtown” campaign to reintroduce area residents to the central business district.
