
Monthly Beautification Awards
Keep Longview Beautiful recognizes outstanding commercial beautifiers in Longview and the industrial park areas on a regular basis. To qualify for an award a business, college, church, or political sub-division (city, county, schools) must: 1) be in the city limits of Longview or in one of its industrial districts; 2) must have had landscaping with special emphasis on the use of greenery and seasonal plantings in place for at least one year; and 3) must consistently maintain the exterior grounds.
KLB Annual Award
The KLB Annual Award is only given to those who have received a Monthly Beautification Award from Keep Longview Beautiful in recognition of their beautification efforts. The recipient should be an entity which has over a long period of time maintained their property in a manner deserving of this special recognition. Ten years after the recipient has received the award, the winner becomes eligible again for the KLB Annual Award, provided the establishment has received another Beautification Award and meets the criteria set forth.
Linda Pursley Volunteer of the Year Award
The Linda Pursley Volunteer of the Year Award was so-named in 2007 to honor Linda Pursley, who volunteered as executive secretary for KLB for 28 years. This award is given to recognize an outstanding volunteer for his/her work and time devoted to KLB.
Merit Award
This award is given to honor outstanding individuals or groups in the community who have supported and made significant contributions to the goals of KLB.
