Annual Programs

We are proud supporters and members of Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful events. These events not only have a big impact on Longview, but also make a difference on a state and national level.

Keep Longview Beautiful participates in the following events:

• Great American Cleanup - a Keep America Beautiful event that is the nation's largest annual community improvement program, held March-May each year.
• Texas Waterway Cleanup - a Keep Texas Beautiful and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality event that helps communities establish waterway cleanup and litter prevention to improve and maintain the quality of surface water.
• Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off - a Keep Texas Beautiful and Texas Department of Transportation event that is the state's largest one-day cleanup event. Over 100,000 volunteers across Texas pitch in the first weekend in April.
• Texas Recycles Day - takes place every year on Nov. 15th, aims to raise awareness of the economic and environmental benefits of recycling.
