Kayla Cantey, Convention Meetings and Main Street Manager with the Longview Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be one of hundreds of association executives who will attend the Texas Society of Association Executives Conference in Irving September 23-25. At the conference Cantey will have the opportunity to promote Longview as a meeting destination to association executives and meeting planners from across Texas. "Meeting people and beginning the important relationship will be high on my priority list,” said Cantey.

The TSAE New Ideas Annual Conference will provide attendees three educational days of workshops and forums in the areas of association management, leadership and professional development as well as interactive sessions with one-to-one discussions and conversations with association peers.

From her participation, Cantey will participant in from additional workshops in volunteer recruitment, marketing and board management. She will learn a practical, no nonsense model that is easy to implement right away! Recruiting volunteers does more than just filling available positions, it help to fulfill the Chambers goal of developing leaders and in a whole new way.
