Longview Chamber of Commerce CVB is a sponsor of the TEAM TEXAS booth at the AARP Life @ 50+ Conference in New Orleans September 19-22, 2012. Chamber staff will work with representatives from chambers of commerce and convention and visitor bureaus across Texas.
Promoting the Longview community as a destination of choice is central to the mission of the Chamber's Convention and Visitors Bureau mission. Staff will have the opportunity to meet, greet and talk with the conference delegates. The Longview Visitor Guides will be distributed to event attendees.
AARP officials estimate close to 9,800 attendees have registered for the Life @ 50+ Annual Conference. The opportunity for in person contact is one of the most effective ways to influence a potential visitor to choose Longview as a destination or even as a community where they can enjoy their active retirement years.
The AARP conference offers a wide variety of activities for those registering. They will be able to enjoy the Crescent City with an engaging day of volunteer opportunities benefitting the people of New Orleans plus three days of non-stop action featuring programs, exhibits, entertainment, education and tours.
