Small Business Training and Development Opportunities Continue in June

If you were unable to take advantage of Small Business Week online seminars or the Business Solutions Conference seminars earlier this month, there are three weeks of high-tech marketing and leadership training opportunities coming up in June!  The Longview Chamber of Commerce is hosting three business development workshops in the executive leadership series that entail marketing strategies and tools for the high-tech market increasingly used by consumers, and a nationally recognized leadership training seminar.

Did you know that every dollar spent on email marketing can generate up to $38 for your small business?  Do you need a better way to communicate and maintain that positive relationship with your customers?  Constant Contact provides email marketing and social media strategy platforms at low costs to businesses.  For the first time in several years, an expert company trainer will be in Longview presenting a guided demonstration on the tools and features inside Constant Contact email marketing system.  In this time-efficient, highly practical session, you will learn the basics so you can get going with your own email marketing campaign.  You’ll learn branding, growing subscribers, tracking and interpreting metrics, and integrating social media.  June 29, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Chamber building.  Lunch is provided!  Chamber members may attend for $25; non-members for $35.

On June 14, learn how to power up your business by growing your presence online at the upcoming Google workshop, “Using the Power of Google Marketing.”  Get Your Business Online is a program that empowers communities to support their local businesses and encourage them to get on the map.  Local businesses keep our communities strong; when we help them succeed on the web, they make our communities even stronger.  The “Using The Power of Google” workshop will have several components. First the session will kick off with a livestream from Google followed with information about Google Streetview and tips for your business from our local Google partner Advocate Digital Media (ADM).  Google Streetview will be signing up businesses for the June 16 filming event.  Visit to learn more about the program and get involved.   The workshop will be hosted on June 14, 2017, from 10:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Chamber building.  Lunch is provided!   This is workshop is FREE!

Back by popular demand Glenn Shepard of Glenn Shepard Seminars is providing you an opportunity to take part in a special seminar titled, “How to Supervise People and Lead a Team.”  Glenn presented in 2012 to over 100 local Chamber members.  Following his last seminar phone calls and emails came in stating, "We want Glenn to come back so we can bring more people" and "I knew the information would be good but I didn't expect amazing!"  You will not want to miss Glenn Shepard as he brings “How to Supervise People and Lead a Team” back to Longview.  The seminar will take place at Holiday Inn Express North Longview, 300 Tuttle Cir, Longview, TX 75605-4669, on Thursday, June 8, from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.  Executives across North America paid $1,295 to hear Mr. Shepard speak. You, as a Chamber member, can attend this event in Longview for only $129.  Non-member tuition is $149.  Also, when 3 or more enroll the 4th person attends for FREE!
